It doesn’t get more Galician than these scallops. Known as Volandeiras, they were for years mistakenly marketed as zamburiñas. We’ve decided to put an end to that deception. Both are exceptional and native to our Rías. However, the zamburiña is so scarce that we choose to respect it. Here, they develop a uniquely intense sea flavor. What’s more, they are harvested by local fishing guilds using traditional methods, under strict quotas and size regulations.
